Micro Water Facility is currently involved in fifteen projects. With the continued cooperation of MWF, two of these, Safi Sana, Connect International and WaterPyramid, are now moving on to the next developmental stage. Clean Water Now!
The Naïade is a stand-alone water purification unit for rural areas in developing countries. In 2003, inventor-engineer Dick van Dijk and his business associate Evert Groeneveld started the company Clean Water Now! BV to market Naïade and other sustainable water treatment equipment in developing countries.

Simavi
MWF is advising Simavi on creating a sustainable revenue model which should attract different types of funding, including microcredit.
Simavi is an international health organisation that strives to improve the health of people living in the poorer areas of developing countries. Simavi focuses on mothers because of the key role they play in family health. Working closely with them, Simavi ensures they have safe drinking water, good hygiene, healthy pregnancies and looks after the health of their children. One of Simavis’ biggest projects is the Oljoro Murriet Water and Health Project near Arusha, Tanzania. Simavi’s ambition is to scale up this gravity-fed piped water project. Read more: www.Simavi.org
Water-Right foundation
MWF is providing assistance in drawing up a business plan, finding partners and attracting funds.
The mission of the Water-Right Foundation is to improve water facilities in developing countries. It does this through a combination of local production and microcredit facilities. Water-Right aims to launch the rope pump in Vietnam.

MWF is providing business development support to help the company with a view to marketing its portable hand bidet, designed for cleansing sensitive areas, in developing countries.
MWF is helping the foundation to mitigate the donor-driven approach of its “Water for Keren” project in favour of a more commercial operation. MWF will support this process mainly by reviewing and finalising the business plan, building the consortium and attracting financial resources.
D.o.b. foundation is a Dutch-based organisation that supports and invests in social entrepreneurs who identify commercial opportunities in social issues. In 2005 it launched the “Water for Keren” project to provide sustainable water services to the inhabitants of Keren, Eritrea. Read more: www.dobfoundation.com/nl
Norit B.V. has asked MWF to assist with the market introduction of one of its products for which Aidenvironment conducted market research 9n 2005. MWF is now devising a business model to serve a promising product/market combination the study identified. MWF is also looking for partners to set up or finance businesses with Norit. MWF is assiting the company in writing a business plan, building a consortium of launching customers and relevant organisations, and enhancing the business model based on the outcome of the pilot.
Peepoople, a Swedish–based social venture, conducted several field tests last year that revealed wide acceptance of the Peepoo bag as a good sanitation alternative. Peepoople is now ready for the next step: introduction of the Peepoo bag as a structural sanitation solution. Read more: www.peepoople.com
MWF is helping the RAIN Foundation identify interesting business prospects involving a combination of proven rainwater harvesting systems and micro and meso finance instruments
