Micro Water Facility (MWF) is a non-profit initiative that helps small and medium sized enterprises to successfully realise innovative, small-scale solutions that improve access to clean drinking water and proper sanitation in poor countries in Africa and Asia.

Expertise in developing countries

MWF advises entrepreneurs and project organizations on the appropriate strategy to be followed, helps draw up a sound business plan, and acts as an intermediary in finding the right partners and appropriate financiers.

Entrepreneurs and businesses: greater chance of successful market entry

By taking advantage of the brokerage services offered by MWF, businesspeople can quickly and accurately tailor their plans to meet the needs of the local markets they want to enter and the financiers they want to attract.

Financiers: targeted and appropriate investment

MWF-screened projects and business plans can be assessed efficiently and effectively. This allows financiers to make quicker and better judgements on the balance between risk and return.  Transaction costs are reduced, which in turn makes smaller financing deals more interesting.

Development organisations: additional financing and the right technology

MWF maintains good contacts with various development organisations and finds the most suitable partnership arrangement for each project. Through our extensive network we can rapidly find the most up-to-date market information and expertis. We can also track down alternative sources of funding to ensure the right mix of financial instruments.
